Hi pezz,

What bugs me is you got all the smart people on your side and I got well ...AC and MQ ...

I don't necessarily think that any of us is that much brighter than any other poster here, and that includes you, Mq and AC. Some people are a tad more bullish than others, and some are a tad more bearish. But that's what makes a market.

For what it's worth, most folks posting here seem to be doing okay in a tough environment, presuming everyone is being truthful about what they're doing, and I have no reason to doubt anything that anyone else is posting. The interesting thing is that, you're making money by trading long and short, AC is making money on the long side, Jay is making money by being cautious and hedging his plays, KastelCo is making money taking some risks in Canadian juniors and trusts, and EnergyPlay is making money in energy stocks. For me, I'm making money by being undiversified (only 3 stocks) but quite heavy to the long side on all three. We're all doing our own thing, probably quite successfully at that! So that likely makes us all smart to some degree...

KJC

Hello Pezz, Today’s Report:
Today in Chongqin we checked out the Ford factory, a distance learning university, and also the Briggs & Stratton (gasoline engines for lawn mowers, little boats and such) factory. Tomorrow we will check out General Stillwell’s former residence (the US general in charge of a bunch of Chinese troops during WWII).

I also doubled my share position in uk.finance.yahoo.com by being responsible for a fair percentage of today’s trading volome. I will be adding more as we get closer to a regime change in Zimbabwe.

Hello Pezz, Today's Report:
I was able to only purchased back a pitiful % of my earlier sold stake in Zimbabwe Platinum at prices less than AUD 3.05 limit order.

The ZIM was earlier sold thus Message 18603576 , at average price of AUD 2.639

Not a word from you about selling low and buying back higher, please.

I feel a need to wager on Mugabe's (a) expected retirement, and/or (b) imminent demise.

>>What bugs me ...<< Dont worry, as long as you got the market on your side;)

NY - Saw Mill is flooded, so had to drive through cementeries and backyards to get to hotel. And BC is burning. Great White North? Yeah, must be all that ash...

Otherwise? Well, strange feeling to be back in US. Honest...

RegZ to all

PS: doing all this at 19th century 36k on what's called UUnet. Possible typo - UUnjet?

Hello Pezz, Today’s Report:
I needed to setup my portfolio for continued gains in 2004, and so have started to position accordingly, in line with expectations of further economic bad news and financial mayhem:

Shorted a dollop of FCX Feb 2004 Puts strike 25 @ 1.50/shr,
Shorted a dollop of HMY Feb 2004 Puts strike 12.5 @ 1.60/shr, and
Shorted a dollop of NEM Mar 2004 Puts strike 35 @ 2.60/shr.

I figure these little gambles will result in walk-around money either when they expire worthless or after I sell any shares put to me by anyone willing to sell the shares to me at the specified prices. I will likely be shorting more of these shares’ options on any gold correction, because they are sure bets.

Hello Pezz, Today's Report:
Doing not very much, with the TV on mute, stereo on music, Internet on dial-up, and appreciating the result of my 'shallowness' per Raymond's rant, seeing that my Zimbabwe Platinum decided to zoom upward by 15% so soon after my recent fortunate add Message 19175612

We must be closing in on regime change;0)

My beloved Lumacom is also showing renewed frisky strength, inexplicably uk.finance.yahoo.com

Canadian energy shares is helped along by Energyplay and KastelCo's renewed faith, and gold shares are back on the radar screen, even as my currency plays remain friendly.

I am, in all shallowness, starting to worry about what to do for encore in the next 12 months, starting after a possible October stock market debacle or a September Bond market mayhem.
