>>Vermont has the lowest homicide rate in the United States.

Do you think that may have something to do with the fact that hardly anyone lives there? :^)

This doesn't make sense. He can't be in favor of reauthorizing the "assault weapons" bill ( fictional fantasy) , the Brady Bill ( worthless except for harassing honest gun owners ), and this so called gun show loophole and still get an A rating from the NRA. This is mainstream gun control. Going for what they can get, when they can get it.

including the assault weapons ban and the Brady Bill - and close the gun show loophole

If the gun control issue was a non-issue in the 2004 election, many NRA voters would then feel as though they could make a choice that would ACTUALLY benefit them and their families.

Basic rights and freedoms such as freedom of speech are NEVER non-issues. The Democrats lost control of the House largely in part to the lied into law Semi-Automatic Rifle and Pistol ban of 1994 by claiming that semi-autos were really machine guns in disguise.
