"being gay is a mistake"
"there is no reason to pretend that there is not something amiss"
"my view that regarding homosexuality as deviant is more than an unreasoning prejudice"

It sounds like what you think you have is a "reasoned prejudice" against homosexuals. Clearly you are prejudiced- put "black" into those sentences above, where gay or homosexual appears, and see how they read. The question then is, what are your reasons? Neo, they don't seem very good to me. I think you do have an unreasoning prejudice, that is trying really hard to find some traction in logic- but it won't work except with people who are just as prejudiced as you are. Now it's your right to be prejudiced, but you might as well just come right out and say it in future. Trying to say you are not prejudiced, while at the same time posting very prejudiced statements, just makes you look ridiculous. Lots of people are prejudiced. You'll have lots and lots of company.

You know, people around here thrown around the "prejudice" word as though it necesssarily had perjorative meaning.

Alll it means is to prejudge something or somebody on the basis of some characteristic.

Every one of us is, will always be, and should always be prejudiced. Nothing wrong with prejudice. In fact, it is a necessary part of life. Anybody who tries to live without any prejudices is not going to live long.
