I have to echo your experience, she was very responsive to my correspondence a few months back as well, and by all other accounts but one, was credible. The one account claiming otherwise was Hatfill's attny, if I remember correctly.

FAS people are great. The only FAS member I've had a friendly argument with is the oft-quoted Steven Aftergood, who doubted Bamford's account of the Liberty massacre. His only explanation to me was that the "cost" far outweighed the "benefit", and that the cover-up was uncovered, therefore wasn't something Israel would have done.

He should keep in mind the Mossad motto, 'by deception shalt thou do war'. What is also hard to fathom, without studying over a period of years, is the depth of deception available on a routine basis to Washingtonians in general and Pentagonians in particular.

Ray,

Off the top of my head, I don't recall exactly why I came away with a less than favorable impression of Rosenberg. As I remember it was from obscure bits and pieces I've run across, which means I'll have to do some digging when I have more time to see if I can jog my memory. I'll post a follow up when I get a chance to run some searches and go through my bookmarks.
