Don, you said Wouldn't there be SOMETHING beside an obviously faked confession tape?

Answer: Yes.

The only reason I can come up with is that ALL ALONG THE LINE everyone knows that their stories are phony, and are going along with it, so there's no need for anything more than superficial PR. They have to stick with reciting the party line, because their political lives literally depend on it.

The pro/con of that is (pro)it keeps everyone in line, because if you go off the reservation they go after you for retribution, and if you stay with the script you get rich, and (con)once the ship starts to sink the rats will desert fast, since there will no longer be anyone to protect them

If Bush is removed from office, there will either be a lot of true-confessions, or a lot of "mysterious suicides" to warn the leakers.

I'd honestly like to see some informed opposing view points that amount to something other than name calling.

Perhaps you or MSI or Raymond could play devil's advocate and try to make a case for the official story?
