In many areas of life, there is the rule and then there is the exception.

And my point is that you have rules for way more things than I think necessary or desirable. IMO, many more things would be better left in the "merely different" category rather than be subject to your set of rules. It's unnecessary and offputting and maladaptive.

Maybe a good rule would be that it's better to not use language any rawer than necessary when communicating one's judgments about others under one's own rules because one might be mistaken for a bigot or a fascist or some such. <g>
