how does a dividend tax cut help the economy would you say? Lets say for a moment a dividend tax cut makes stocks go up (I don't think that is the case btw)- the only effect there is a "feelgood effect" for consumers and businesses. Not a bad thing, but hardly quantifyable.

Otoh losing low end jobs to india has a devastating effect on the tax structure in the US, as long as we expect payroll taxes to take care of the social security, medicare and now drug plan entitlements.
