Here, let me show you how easy it is to do you job as a liberal spinmeister: Me: Iraq war, which kicked out a dictatorship and ensured he won't threaten anyone with WMD again. America didn't run with its "tail between its legs," nor has a "million Mogudishus" happened, despite the predictions and wishes of Scott Ritter and Prof. De Genova. You: We lost! He never had WMD in the first place! (Oh, and Clinton was a big liar anyway.) Besides, Iraqis don't want a democracy! They prefer to be oppressed, raped, and tortured by Uday and Qusay than to be an American colony! Me: Tax cuts, which helped put more money in the pockets of tax-paying Americans, all of them. You: Only the rich got tax cuts! They don't deserve it, because they obviously didn't work as hard for their money as the poor! And the economy is still in a recession! Me: Values and strong moral principles, founded by a theistic background and precedented by American historical documents. You: Religion doesn't belong in politics! Bush wants to establish X-tianity as the official state religion! He's repealing the 1st amendment! Atheists and Muslims across the nation are being persecuted! Me: Afghanistan victory, which kicked out a brutal regime that supported terrorism and demonstrated to the whole world the strength of the Bush doctrine, "We make no distinction between terrorists and those who harbor them!" You: We lost in Afghanistan! The Taliban is still alive! Osama bin Laden is still alive! And he won! Long live Osama ... oh, whoops, did I say that one out loud? Me: North Korea was caught red-handed trying to develop nukes, and its usual brinkmanship is being thwarted with strong, multilateral diplomacy. You: But North Korea has nukes! They even brag about it! We haven't accomplished anything in North Korea yet, and Bush's diplomacy is both hypocritical and not to be trusted! Me: Bush has funded $15B (or so) for helping Africa resolve its AIDS crisis. You: That money isn't going to good use! And besides, all Bush wants is the black vote! That money isn't going to help one African soul! And I didn't even need to "struggle" with that demonstration! Being a liberal spinmeister is as easy as falling off a cliff. Tenchusatsu
