And I've heard that the Nixon team decided that the Kennedys would open an investigation into Republican vote theft in Texas, were Nixon to do so in Illinois, putting egg on both of their faces. I have been scratching my head over your comment for a couple of weeks and wondering if you were just being factitious. GOP vote fraud in Texas during a period when Lyndon Johnson had a lock on the state! Doubtful. Nixon's people actually contested the results in Texas but were rebuffed.
