In 1993, Ueberroth was named chairman of Rebuild L.A., a commission of business and community leaders that developed a strategy for rebuilding Los Angeles after the riots following the verdict in the Rodney King beating case. Where was Ueberroth in the last elections, you know when Davis was elected? Answer: he didn't want to put up with the primary process. Our primary system is really broke, it takes a recall to get some decent candidates on the ballot (ignoring Bustamante)
