The same policies in regard to immigration, acquiring citizenship, working, and owning property and businesses apply on both sides of the border. And will be enforced.

If Americans cannot own property in Mexico (and, until recently, it was impossible and is still very limited), then Mexicans cannot in the US.

If Americans cannot work in Mexico (and mostly they can't), then Mexicans cannot work in the US.

If Americans cannot become Mexican citizens (again, very difficult), then the same shall apply to Mexicans getting American citizenship.

And if Mexico wishes to open the gates, the US does the same.
