you're very welcome. but let me ask you this...

you say you scan daily. but how often do you retrieve new defs?

do you download and install the daily releases?

because you can scan twice a day, or three times a day, and it wouldn't matter if the defs are a week old.

imo, if you are running NAV as resident protection (most people are, as opposed to just an on-demand scanner), then the scanning isn't even that important... particularly compared to the process of getting the most current definitions.

if, otoh, you run the AV as non-resident, like i do with Kaspersky, then scanning becomes the first line of defense, for that particular AV, that is.
