mr mark, thank you for making quite clear that Norton Live Update does not keep av definitions as current as it seems, and that there is a remedy for that. Gottfried

Do you mean Auto LiveUpdate when you say LiveUpdate ?..

Reason I ask is when I saw the virus story yesterday, I went to my Norton Systemworks to check and since I have Auto Update on, I assumed definitions will be uptodate.. But it was few days old.. So I clicked on LiveUpdate and it basically went through the process of asking and downloading whole bunch of things including uptodate virus definitions..

So it seems, Auto LiveUpdate is periodic but if you go and force it to do LiveUpdate it will update the definitions..

FWIW..
