< the primary (goal) of getting hot and close to SA & Iran>

Hmmm. Before we overran Iraq, we already had troops in SA. After the war, we have announced we'll remove our troops from SA. How is this a clever plan to get "hot and close" to SA?

Before the war, we had troops in Afghanistan, which borders on Iran. Russia had also given us permission to use the former Soviet muslim republics, on Iran's north border. We control the seas to the south. Couldn't get much closer, without actually entering Iran.

And now that our entire army is fully committed, any threats we make, to invade SA or Iran or Syria or N. Korea, are empty bluffs, and they all know it. Real clever.

<...increase production to new highs over the next 3-4 years...>

Unfortunately, it only takes a few patriotic Iraqis with RPGs to wreck this plan. The only way Iraqi oil production could reach new highs 3 years from now, is if the American Army leaves Iraq now.
