Henry was a particularly poor choice, then, to make that point. Henry was an advocate of putting religion into the Constitution (a fight he lost), and was an anti-Federalist.

For every religious quote you could put up by a Founding Father, there is a counter argument that, despite their strong religous beliefs, they believed that a separation of church and state was vital to the Republic. Which is exactly the point; that the Constitution is strong DESPITE the religious beliefs of a large number of the founders.

And if in terms of the " black and white" of Christianity, were does that put the US now?

Oh ya, I forgot its the Democrats fault, and all those system sucking poor people.
