"In overseas operations, there is a bread-to-bombs ratio of importance, the danes have the best in the world, they spend 1.0% on foreign aid ...."

The right wing controlled government in Denmark has reduced foreign aid by 10-15%.

Marcos,
I agree with the thrust of your post" except for this " a concern far larger than terrorism is domination by the US."
If i understand it correctly its flat out silly. If the planes start falling on toronto, montreal and vancouver you would look at this a bit differently. Please work on re-phrasing this sentence and then we are in fundamental agreement. And if folks like you were in charge of the euro-canexico block as opposed to the "peace at any pricers", US would not feel the need to bully which is what you are really talking about as opposed to US domination. If france didnt do what she did this whole iraq thing would have been far more unified expecially with you in charge and the canucks at 2% and with the kiwis leading the pacification efforts. I have no problem with this nor would bush--what france did was viewed as a stab in the back. Ask colin powell. mike
