The magazine you got the article is unabashedly liberal.

If you mean by that point that the story must be wrong because of that, then I don't see the point of much of your postings of conservative, rightish stuff. As for the issue of who is in control, Marshall is very careful about that one. He notes the past but the issues he addresses are one's that needed addressing in the light of the 9-11, or at least were/are much more pressing. I happen, also, to agree with the argument about Louis Freeh's having made a deal with the Reps during the 90s. That was well known and widely written about.

It's an unobjectionable piece that needs to be written. Sometimes the Republicans are wrong, Karen. This is one of those times.
