Well I agree their mantras suck. Conservative liberals and liberal conservatives. Not one of them seems willing to do what is needed to get this country right. People are up to their eye balls in debt and the leaders are telling them to spend more and borrow more.

Maybe this coalition of republican Arnold and Democrat Buffet may be what the nation needs.BUFFET CAN READ THE BOOKS. I believe that the politicians we have on both sides have no idea what is going on. Their only concern is getting power and all their time is spent seeking it.

In the meantime I recommend shorting the market and going long commodities(gold etc). The rest of the world will be wanting more coffee etc etc.

When I see the politicians acting honest I will go long the market.

"rather than the Democratic "mantra" (there is one??? please enlighten me"

The Democrat mantra is spending on social programs handing 500 dollar checks to drunks and making sure that lawyers milk the system for everything it is worth. The trial lawyers have cleaned up in California as have the labor unions. The result business is fleeing the state. Go next door and your workmans comp drops well over 200 %.

And yes I can cite you a litany of Republican pay backs to big business and tax cuts for the extremely wealthy with no strings attached. Gates can take his huge tax cuts and invest in India.
