well, my feeling is that the traditional IT infrastructure software which is oracle and sap and also beas, looks to underperform for awhile. This is a major shift of IT ops to india. We don't know how that will pan out so best stay out for awhile. Otoh, we have some internet companies which are the cousins of software anyway which are doing well- I would look at ASKJ for one- not an infrastructure play so isolated from the mess in sw. As soon as this interest rate mess sorts itself out I am going to buy ee

I like the networkers too. The ones left are doing well considering the malaise in their business. JNPR is profitable. Its a real scorched earth policy in that sector and I think the IP is pretty secure, it can't be knocked off unless some chinese company steals it like Huiwei did.I want to check with some networking guys here on SI to make sure that is true. Software otoh can be ripped off when it gets offshored. The one good thing is that even though software revenues suffer with all this offshoring, the overall impact to internet traffic is increased.
