Homophobia just doesn't play well in a state where the second largest city is SF.

i thought SF was like the fourth largest, after LA, SD, and maybe SJ. factmonster.com

incidentally, this book i recently read, Middlesex, says that SF has a lot of gays because after WWII all the Navy sailors disembarked there, and many stayed to continue the lifestyles they had discovered amidships.

however, i don't know how factually correct this is, as the author also talks about people jumping out of windows on Wall St during the Crash of 29, which is now thought to be a myth...

California is truly the Granola state (flakes, fruits and nuts). It's a sad day for California ( and for the US, for that matter) when people vote with their buns instead of their brains.

"Homophobia just doesn't play well in a state where the second largest city is SF. You'd think that would be obvious? "

Because I think marriage should be a union between a man and a woman I am now a bad person and a homophobe. I wonder how this will all end? Not well, I'm sure.
