When I buy stock, I'm part owner of a company. Dividends are paid out to me after my company pays taxes on them. Taxing them again is just stupid.

You live in this country don't you, so why not pay taxes on your tax refund check?

Verbal stretch? Dear me. This post demonstrates precisely the ignorance that makes it possible for Americans to so willingly and frequently take it the queer way from their government. When you invest in a company you actually incur a relative part of that company's risk. In a very literal sense, you are an owner of the company. When your company's income is taxed and then is taxed again simply because you decide to put it in another account, that is double taxation. You put up money, incur the risk, you make income and pay taxes on that income. Then you transfer some of that remaining income to another account and the dang government taxes it again. That is just immoral and you actually are claiming it a civic duty. Dat mess is pretty blame stupid.
