$5000 is a downside ? People shouldnt be opening accounts with less than that. Its like walking around with a sign on your forehead that says "MORON". They make you WIRE the money to them which costs you a fee. Additionally, I was under the impression that they TURN DOWN many if not all of their current Ameritrade customers as well as those who requested info from Ameritrade recently. I guess they dont want to give away what you are already paying for. Plus, you cant transer in, cant get a certificate if you wanted and cant talk to a human. I havent heard enough feedback from lowtrade or successtrade to feel comfortable trying them. But then, I tend to deal in dollar amounts above the poverty level.
