yeah I think that is correct. Commodity jobs have to go, and that means a lot of enterprise app software which is mainstream and standard by now. Funny thing- when I first started working I was in manufacturing software in the late 80s which was supposed to be taken over by the Japanese completely in subsequent years. When I was there I observed that the Japanese work environment consisted of these little pee-on people doing all this work while the guys at the top sat around and played golf all day and acted like children (immature) when things went wrong. It reminded me of the US auto industry from the 70s... I thought "how could this system exceed"... and in the end, it didn't.
