I was trying to say that Bush's tax cut package wouldn't have made it through is economic team had they anticipated all this offshoring. They just assumed this was any other recession, that is my belief. Their original estimates for the tax cut were a deficit around 250 billion if I recall. We are almost double that now, not because the dividend cut was so huge (it was huge but only part of the problem) but because the regular receipts didn't measure up. John Snow is substandard imho. He is from the wrong era and industry. Bush's fiscal mismanagement is unbelievable. How can one president spend this much in so little time. Reminds me of Gray Davis.
