Another thought on the gold as money and appropriate to your comment about gold money. Even the gold money account is evaluated in dollars. That is in order to calculate the amount of gold grams I pay for something it must first be converted to dollars. I don't think anything called money requires such a calculation.

Don't get me wrong I think we would be better off if gold were money in our society, but if money is described as a medium of exchange that is universally accepted in commerce, which I believe is the most accurate description, gold just doesn't qualify.
