Internet security experts said the "Sobig.F" computer virus that began attacking e-mail systems around the world yesterday is the fastest spreading e-mail virus of all time, even as the Blaster and Nachi Internet worms continued to bombard corporate networks and caused ubiquitous slowdowns on the Internet. Another virus, as yet undetermined, was even slowing traffic in the real world. It infected the information-technology systems of CSX Transportation, interfering with the signals and dispatch systems and halting passenger and freight train traffic.
