The left was right about the oil being the #1 issue in all of this. And it has as much to do with securing saudi oil as getting iraqi oil streaming. All those liberals in suburbia will go nuts without their suvs but they rail against the govt that tries to salvage civilization as we know it which includes economic well being as well as political and human rights. There is NO western civilization without prosperity and there is no prosperity in the short run without oil. But God forbid we disturb the moose in alaska or Conserve fuel at home. Shame on both democrats and republicans respectively. We are in the two steps ahead, one step back mode in the battle for the free flow of iraqi and saudi oil. Hope it is only one step back, not more. mike
