So they built a colonial empire because..... ? And gave it up only under US pressure. And, yeah, the French change governments like other people change underwear. The rotate the same people with the same attitudes through different jobs. The French don't resent the US? Gimme a break. It shows from one end of their foreign policy to the other. De Gaulle? Remember him? He hated the US because he couldn't be Dictator Of The World. Instead he had to be escorted into Paris at the end of WW2 by the US Army. Pissed him off! You're attitude is understandable, though. You're so immersed in anti-Americanism that you don't see it anymore; it's just part of the normal landscape. Screw the frogs.
