Lizzie, Thanks for your analysis. You express the situation with a lot more clarity than the muddle-headed politicians who seem happy to confuse the issues. Would you have any idea how much California real estate is still covered by Prop. 13? I would have thought that Buffett's situation is the exception rather thant the rule. In other words, most California real estate has changed hands since 1978, and thus there are relatively few pieces of real estate that are enjoying what now appears to be a jolly tax holiday.
