She might have. She was just crazy enough. But she's the exception. And besides, she would never have been invited so she wouldn't have had the chance.

Peops can go wacko in any arena I suppose. But I thought the point was "what if" an athiest gave the invocation. The natural conclusion would be that they would invoke congressional consideration toward law making that would be fair for the sake of our society. Expecting anything else would be expecting someone to disrespect the terms of their invitation to speak. I see no reason to expect that.
