Off the topic, some months back I'd sent an email to ANSWER suggesting they throw some of their anti war weight behind investigations into 9/11, which has turned into the Bush Cartel's justification for endless war. Somehow, I've ended up on their mailing list as a result. Their latest is in favor of a dirtbag named Mumia Abu-Jamal, who shot a cop dead in front of 4 witnesses some 20 years ago. From what little I've done in the way of research on some of these so called peace movements, most of them are largely funded by some of the worst people in the world. The causes they tend to jump behind when they aren't in the middle of disgracing peace with civil disobedience are such as to disgust any right thinking person. Half the time after reading one of ANSWERs emails, I feel like I need to go wash my hands. What's wrong with these people? Are these organizations CIA fronts intended to discredit what would otherwise be mostly valid moral objectives? Or are they just set ups to fleece halfwitted, dewy eyed, idealist wannabes? If there was as much evidence against Osama bin Laden as there is against Mumia Abu-Jamal, I wouldn't have started this thread. Sheesh, the guy's brother lured a cop to where Mumia was waiting in a taxi with a gun, by driving down a one way street. While distracted by Mumia's brother, Mumia then shot the cop in the back, and the cop put one into Mumia before he hit the ground. Mumia then emptied his gun into the cop at point blank range with the last shot delivered to the head. Mumia staggered a few steps where he sat down and was arrested a minute later with his empty gun sitting beside him. The bullet in Mumia matched the cop's gun and the bullets in the cop matched Mumia's. Why in the name of all the gods in Southern California would anyone want to stick up for that sort of scum?
