No doubt there are plenty of cops who are corrupt, just like there is plenty of corruption in the rest of our government. However, while I admit it's possible, I doubt many people make it to death row by mistake. You'd have a hard time getting 12 people to reach a consensus on the best place in the park to sit, let alone deciding a person has committed an act which amounts to a degree of evil such as to warrant a death sentence.

I didn't do a ton of research on Mumia. I just did a quick search on his name and picked a couple sites at random that looked representative of the pro and con sides.

In a way it kind of ties in with a view I expressed on public investigations. ALL of the actions of our government should always be a matter of public record. That way if there is ever any doubt, anyone who wants to may review the records and come to their own conclusions.

As far as ANSWER is concerned, what I see is the kind of fuzzy headed thinking that frequently passes for idealism among the less than bright. If it's not okay for the Bush Cartel to murder folks for profit (which I happen to agree with), then why would it be okay for Mumia to murder policemen when he gets to feeling frisky? I don't see how any ideal could hold both views without the appearance of hypocrisy.
