If you don't understand what I wrote in the previous mail, read it again.

"Enjoy your 21st Century Vietnam", is all I can say to you.

And please don't ever suggest I "enjoy touting" some death toll. It is not "enjoyable" that your military killed 6,000 Iraqi civilians to date. It is horrible. It is a tragedy.

Wake up and smell the burning human flesh.

I think you are exactly right. I would have handled things differently and the PR from the administration has been awful.

I wonder what those who say we should have avoided the war would say if it were Hitler in 1939 that was being discussed. There were many arguing then not to get involved, that it wasn't "our" war, that he was no danger to "us."

It's easy to sit in France, sipping a mint julep, while an estimated 13,000 die in a heat wave, and be critical of everything the US does.
