Please pay attention, Fatty.

"Fairness" isn't in the Bill of Rights. It isn't even in the Constitution. Its just socialist-speak for taxing the rich.

80 year olds always get more than 30 year olds. That's why 30 year olds have to work. Get it?

There is another great balancing principle here that you are neglecting. 30 year olds can become 80 year olds if they live long enough. 80 year olds have a different less appealing option.

If you don't like to see the government spending for 80 year olds, cut the damn spending! If they got to 80, they've probably figured out how to live without depending on the government.

By the way, have you paid off your student loan fully yet ?

Let's get real. How many nursing home patients actually vote. Most of the elderly who end up in nursing homes are truly ill and unable to care for themselves and rarely vote because they are dieing.

The elderly who have little apartments in retirement homes are quite different----most are mentally capable and able to make decisions regarding the welfare of the nation and themselves.

If they do vote, they will likely vote the same way they have all of their lives---whether it is dem, repub, or independent---and that's fine with me.

Are you concerned about Arnold's new proposal for a fatty foods tax? You know his insatiable thirst for fitness and his abhorence for the unfair burden placed on the health care system by unfit people? I think we are the next target! I am taking up tennis again as a preventative measure. Plus, my wife is going on the Atkin's diet, per her ex-SV fitness guru's reco.

>>>If we revoke the right to vote for the retirees, we will have a very different form of government. People under 18 don't have rights to vote, so why should the nursing home residents?

40-45 percent of the state budget is spent on the education
system. You can't make a case that it's been deprived of funds. Perhaps it's overwhelmed since the native growth rate for the population of California is much lower that there's not enough funds to accomodate the non-native population. I recall in the early 90s there was talk of shutting down schools because of the low birth rate.
