OT....elderly who end up in nursing homes....

You have to liquidate every asset you have to keep yourself is such a home before the state starts to pick up the tab. Many for one reason or the other never live long enough to see that.
And food for thought. One out of three will need some sort of elder care in their lives but only one in twenty thousand will use their fire insurance on their homes. Elder care insurance is a wise policy if one can afford it in my opinion.
