so are they now saying a virus can be embedded into a .jpg or .gif and then execute? that doesn't quite sound right although i would be glad to know for sure... sounds like the 'picture' they speak of was a perhaps thumbnail posing as a link to a larger version of itself, but instead was to a .pif or .exe or somesuch...

if a virus can be embedded into a .jpg and when the user right clicks and chooses 'save picture as' and downloads a virus... well that would be ingenious....

do we have any experts here?...
