I just read the other day that there are 44 homicides per day in the US.. Is that violent enough for you?

Here in DC, just recently, we had 20 shootings in the space of 19 days.. Think they should pull out of here?

What about WWII.. The Red Cross was right in the middle of that war... and just about every other war around... But they didn't pull out...

I dare say that the International Red Cross is merely a fragile ghost of its historical state if they are going to run at the mere threat of terrorism..

It sets a precedent that all an organized criminal group has to do is threaten the local humanitarian organizations and they'll run away... And such behavior can be replicated internationally, or domestically...

One would think that UN members would be loath to permit such a scenario and would urgently be offering security support for these organizations, even if not directly involved in the US coalition security efforts.
