The media pulled the same stuff in Vietnam. The bulk of the media did not venture out into the danger zone but hung around Saigon. They attempted to use any propaganda means necessary to turn the American Public against the war. They did things like asking soldiers to show how tough they were by cutting off the ears of dead NVA regulars or Viet Cong, something that wouldn't normally happen. Afterwards they reported how brutal our soldiers were to the enemy. The press is nothing more than Yellow Journalism. A big propaganda machine.
