Ah but Syria and Iran do harbour Al Quaida and Iraq has a border with those two coutries so naturally Iraq was targeted. Now we have a better chance of stopping others that would like to kill you and your family.

I would personally be happy to depose every tyrant on earth. Indeed, I consider it morally justifiable to take out a regime that behaves brutally towards its people. But there are practicalities, and we must deal with them on a case by case basis, taking into account how offensive the regime is, how much our interests are intertwined, and how likely we are to successfully campaign against them..........

"Well, turns out Iraq wasn't harboring Al Qaeda, either. "

I don't believe this has been demonstrated. Iraq has harbored and supported many brands of terrorism, including persons associated with Al Quaeda. Saddam was not in league with OBL but; only because neither would be able to recognize the other's authority. Beyond that its a pretty big grab bag of operations and alliances.
