This is not the first time I have seen that farm subsidy website. You are right it is amazing 'they' allowed this to be disseminated. I "thought" 'they' were more "in control".

Anyway, this website made me hopping mad.

OK, luckily I just deleted most of what I was going to post here. Let's just say I know lots of folks on this farm website who are getting mucho dineros, I am sure perfectly legal. However, I asked one of them how his cows were doing, "There's not much money in cows, what with the vet bills and all" Apparently, there is much to be made to grow, excuse me, not to grow crops.

Oh, and as far as unemployment insurance, you can be a multi millionaire and still get that, perfectly legal. There's lots of subsidies passed for poor folks what rich folks get. (I hope that's down home English enough so the country hicks can get it.) You gotta realize this dude I am talkin bout is a Democrat big D. He keeps trying to get me to vote mutiple times. I keep trying to tell him this is illegal. "Not if your voting Democrat" says he.

BTW, like the rest of you, I've had hard times too. One of my first jobs was pickin' cotton at 5 cents per day! I was paid by the pound and cotton is a lighter than I thought, plus it is hard to get that stuff out of them bolls!

One time I was really hard up so I went down to the welfare office, I told them if they could just lend me a little bit of money to get back on my feet, it would be much appreciated, and they could trust me to pay them back. Well, she took me aside, and said "Son, let me level with you, In order to get on welfare, you gots to get rid of everything you got, then you can get on, but the good news is you will then be able to get it for the rest of your life." "well, says I, do I have to get rid of my van, where would I sleep? It's only worth couple hundred bucks" "You can sleep on the street, right here outside the welfare office." "No, thanks", says I, I ain't givin up my van "and I'll get back on my feet someday."

Remember Sec Treas. braggin with Sen Byrd who growed up the poorest?

well, unless the WH figures out a way to turn this ballooning deficit around (and personally I can't see how) - something tells me the republicans are going to be relabelled as fiscally irresponsible and they will have to deal with that legacy for years. Reagan and the first Bush ran a deficit but it was nothing like this. Bush ran up this tab in less than 2 years, amazing really. What did we get for our money again? (I forgot) :-/
