IMHO all one needs do is look around at whats going on in America today with our youth to realize the Liberal attitudes are creating HAVOC in our society. I live in an upscale community YET youth vandalism is RAMPANT. We have a lake with two fountains, they regularly swim out and DESTROY the fountains. We allow people to have memorial plaques and trees for their loved ones to be planted around the lake, these youth regulary remove the expensive stones and THROW THEM IN THE LAKE. I could go on and on, BUT here is the real BUMMER. The police will do NOTHING. When I was a youth, any adult could reasonably correct a youth that was acting up, today if EVEN A PARENT does the same they are likely to find themselves in Family Court. Example, a good friend of ours, a Filipina woman (anyone who knows Filipinas know they love children) found that her daughter got mixed up in a bad crowd and was picked up for shoplifting. She SPANKED THE DICKENS out of that girl and the girl ran to the neighbors who called the police who came out with Child Protection Agent and caused her all kinds of grief. I could go on and on, but the summary of what I am saying is: Saying the pledge in school was/is just one small part of teaching respect and pride in ones country. I cannot see how it can do any harm and if they can remove THAT what hope do we have to raise decent lawabiding children? jdn
