Funny, George Bush never said Iraq presented an "imminent threat" either. However, many democrats falsely attributed that comment to Bush Wellllll, how false was it? For example, last October 7, Bush said this: "Facing clear evidence of peril, we cannot wait for the final proof—the smoking gun—that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud." Now it's true (I'll take your word for it) that he didn't use the word "imminent." But in just this single sentence from his drumbeat to war, be used "clear evidence," "peril," "can't wait" and "mushroom cloud." I guess it depends on what the meaning of the word "imminent" is?
