He wasn't required, he did it voluntarily, the same as his cashing in his warrants, so there couldn't be an issue of conflict of interest. He now has no ties to the oil business. Then again, Cheney is very wealthy in his own right and took a pay cut of over a million a year to become VP.

Hawk, I genuinely hate to pass along this little bit of information to you when you get so over heated about my posts.

But Al Gore is gone, past, over. The issue is Cheney and Bush and the rest. And the degree to which the corporate friends of and donors to this administration are benefitting in at least unseemly if not corrupt ways from having their friends in the seats of power.

I thought we had clearly established it was not good for the thread for you and I to post to one another.
