Sure it is vital to avoid screwing up Iraq .... this has always been rather the point, ahem, of those saying wait a minute, if we're going to do anything there let's do it well, which means doing it together, with a plan that stands a chance of working . ... nothing new here, and no the unilateralism of the neocon-trol freaks is not moot, it will never be, it is central to the problem

Hold up Wolfowitz by his collar, extract an unequivocal apology out of Bush, and you change the whole picture - you get millions of marcoses in the independent democracies saying to our own misguided governments, c'mon guys get with the programme, you are either with us or you are against us
