Hold up Wolfowitz by his collar, extract an unequivocal apology out of Bush, and you change the whole picture - you get millions of marcoses in the independent democracies saying to our own misguided governments, c'mon guys get with the programme, you are either with us or you are against us What an extraordinary notion. Whatever makes you think so? What would make Canada put its own boys on the line? or France? or Germany? when they can get the US to do it instead?
