BTW- I have been assigned an interesting project. Our school district has an old and outdated list of approved novels. My principal wants me to make a list of new, vibrant novels that might "better represent our diverse community". I have already decided to put Icy Sparks and The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time on the list- both of these deal with young people who have disabilities, and they are also fantastic books. What would you want the younger generation reading? And that goes for anyone else here. If you think I don't read your posts, have Karen forward your ideas to me, since I think she might be willing to do that (without any personal comments, thank you).
