I'm right with you in not taking sides, in having no interest in IDCC, and in not having seen the post Box responded to. What concerns me is the perception that IH censors negative comments about stocks a lot more than positive ones. In order to be sure that that isn't true, I think they need to be willing to explain why certain posts violate the TOU and be consistent about the application of the TOU. I have no use for a stock board that is slanted against negative information on stocks. I'm not saying that that is the reality, but that issue has been raised on numerous occaions, and I don't think really ever put to bed. As to doing this on SI, before IH bought SI, I would have agreed with you. But now that they are just two parts of the same management, to me it's fair game to discuss either on the other, since presumably they will have similar editorial policies.
