Yes. Since W. Wilson, this has been what America does. From WWI, to WWII to the Cold War, to the new Post Cold War; the U.S. has used its military against fascism, communism and other democidal regimes. Where was the imminent threat to the United States, when U.S. troops were sent/ or fought in France in WWI, or North Africa (in WWII), or Korea, or Beruit, or Vietnam, or Somolia, or Haiti, or Bosnia, or Kosovo, or Afghanistan, or now Iraq? Only the United States has sent significant numbers of troops facing death in defense of individual human rights on such a scale. What significant economic interest does the United States have in Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, or Vietnam? But suddenly now that it's Iraq - its about the oil. The same people that complain about American "interference" in Democidal regimes - also complain, when America turns a blind eye to Democide and pretends everything is "business as usual".
