The neocon plunge into Iraq is historicly similar to operation Barbosa in which Germany invaded the Soviet Union. In both cases the war was lost as soon as it began because a quick victory was anticipated by the agressor, but the country invaded had it's own agenda which did not include giving up right away. It will be a long time before the neocons recognize this, and even longer before they deal with it. TP
