that their systems are set up to "see out" only?

I believe it. They were designed to catch incoming missiles and planes. Even our FAA, with all of their internal systems, loses planes from time to time. This was not a breakdown, the systems were not designed for anything like this. No one had figured it out.

The confusion at the top levels of Government will not be revealed for years and years. Go back to the Cuban missile crisis, and realize how much was known then compared to now. And it took place over a period of days, not all in one day.

I believe in the "Stupidity" theories, not the "Conspiracy" theories. That is the way the real world works. I just happened to catch FOX right now interviewing some guy who believes we never went to the moon. They show the film of one of the astronouts hitting him. His one claim to fame is that he exasperated someone famous and got on tape. As the Announcer pointed out, thousands and thousands of people would have had to be in on the frameup. Sheer nonsense. But the man will go to his grave believing it.

I spent much time reading many books about Kennedy at Dallas. My conclusion? Oswald did it. But you will never convince the "conspiracy" types of that. I would bet you are one of them.

What is your reaction to NORAD's claiming that they cannot see the interior of the continent, that their systems are set up to "see out" only?

I believe that is Posse Comitus at work.

At any rate it is certainly no new claim and nor surprising if you know NORAD's mission.

You cannot have it both ways. Complaining that big brother is looking at you and then complaining that big brother is not looking at you is a bit incongruent.

NORAD doesn't claim they can't see the interior of the continent. NORAD doesn't track domestic flights. It relies upon the FAA to notify NORAD of domestic flights that the FAA determines are risks. aka hijackings.

This is simple division of labor.
